The GH head from Rolmex is a technologically advanced flail mower, engineered for efficient cutting of grass and shrubs with a maximum diameter of 8 cm of dry wood. Equipped with innovative H360 type rotary hammers, the GH head is an ideal solution for professionals requiring reliability and performance.
Thanks to the high power on the working shaft and rotary blades, the GH head performs well in the most difficult terrain conditions. Its versatility allows for cutting plants of various heights, making it an ideal tool for Forestry Services, municipal companies, and other institutions where efficiency and precision count.
The design of the GH head ensures faultlessness and safety for both the operator and bystanders. This is especially important when working in built-up areas, urban traffic, and on street routes.
The GH head is compatible with professional hydraulic arms from Rolmex, ensuring even greater work efficiency.
How the GH120 head mows is determined by the working shaft and the blades or hammers mounted on it. Four configurations are available — from the most delicate to the heaviest, depending on your needs:
1. Precision ROTOR — a shackle-mounted shaft with a Y blade and a centre blade. For clean, precise mowing: three cooperating blades cut grass cleanly and evenly, without fraying the stems — a finish like on the best-kept turf. This solution has been used for years in France and Italy; you will find exactly the same cutting system in French boom mowers that can cost three times the price of our machine. The shackle also protects the blade — when it hits an obstacle, it swings away instead of breaking.

2. UniversalROTOR2 universal shaft with Y and YI blades. The golden mean for everyday roadside and municipal work: Y blades and their heavier YI version cut shrubs and branches up to 5 cm of dry wood, while also handling ordinary grass mowing superbly.

3. T6 hammers — on the same universal shaft. The Y/YI blades can be swapped at any time for T6 hammers — the flail type known from renowned English mowers. The more massive hammer shreds woody regrowth up to 6 cm of dry wood and breaks up dense scrub and brambles more reliably — without buying a second shaft.
4. Shaft with H360 FORESTAL rotary hammers. The heaviest configuration: shredding regrowth up to 10–11 cm in diameter — a working range that with many manufacturers already calls for a separate forestry mulcher.

Converting the head from one shaft to another changes its character from a precision grass mower into a tool for heavy scrub clearing — for a fraction of the price of a second machine. Read more about blade selection in our article Which blades for a flail mower?
Available in widths from 100 to 130 cm, the standard head has a width of 120 cm. The choice between a belt drive and a direct drive allows for customization of the head to individual user needs.
